
Jennifer had always hoped to be a multitasking star. In her youth Jennifer was a fan of many different kinds of music, but mostly Afro-Caribbean music like merengue, salsa and Bachata. In addition, she was fond of popular music like hip-hop as well as R&B. Music was her passion, but she was also fascinated by film industry. West Side Story (1961) was the Rita Moreno musical that influenced her most as well as her main source of inspiration. At 5, Jennifer began taking singing and dancing lessons. Aside from being a budding entertainment artist, Jennifer is also a Catholic girl who spent eight years at an Catholic elementary school , named Holy Family, located at The Bronx, before graduating from an all-girls prep school, Preston High School after a four-year stay. At school, Jennifer was an amazing athlete and participated in track and field and tennis. In Castle Hill, she spent her childhood in a 2-story residence. After turning 18, Jennifer moved out of the house of her parents. Lopez started working in a law firm while dancing in the evenings.
