Annie Lennox
Annie Lennox is a Scottish native singer. She was born on the 25th of December in 1954, at Aberdeen. Dorothy Farquharson is her mother as is Thomas Allison Lennox, father. Lennox had studied for three years in the Royal Academy of Music London in the 1970s was accepted. The budget of her was augmented with a student stipend and part-time jobs. When she was at the Royal Academy Lennox was dissatisfied with her skill in comparison to her fellow students and she pondered what alternative direction she would take. Lennox played flute with a group called Dragons Playground in 1976. But she quit before the band was asked to participate in I.T.V.'s talent contest New Faces. She was the singer in The Tourists a British pop band from 1977 to 1980. She began to meet Dave Stewart, with whom formed the pop-duo Eurythmics. Following that Lennox began working on her first solo album Diva and it was released in 1992. The album was an enormous success both commercially and critically. Nostalgia Lennoxs six solo album that was released in October 2014 was Nostalgia Lennox. The C.D. Lennox has picked her most favored jazz, blues and soul songs. In addition in May 2019 Lennox released Lepidoptera an album of four piano pieces that she improvised. The E.P. The E.P. is her debut solo album, and is a sequel to her art work designed at the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art called Now I Let You Go... Annie Lennox born December 25 1954 is an Scottish activist, politician and philanthropist. She is also a singer-songwriter. Following a modest successes as a part of the new wave band The Tourists in the late 1970s, Lennox and co-musician Dave Stewart went on to be recognized as the duo known as Eurythmics during the 80s. In 1992, Lennox started her own solo career with her debut album Diva which yielded numerous successful songs, such as Why and Walking on Broken Glass. Medusa is her studio album from 1995. It features cover versions of songs like No MoreI love Yous and The Whiter Shade of Pale. Her solo catalog includes six studio albums, as well as one compilation album to her credit. |
