Annie Lennox
Annie Lennox, born 25th December 1954 was born in Aberdeen Scotland. Dorothy Farquharson and Thomas Allison Lennox are her parents. Lennox was a student at Lennox's Royal Academy of Music, London in the 70s. She was a harpsichord scholar and flute for three complete years. Lennox grew up on a school allowance, and part-time employment in order to earn a living. Lennox as she was studying in the Royal Academy of Music in London, was not happy in her performance when compared to her fellow students. Then she began to consider other options. Lennox was a flute player in a 1976 band called Dragons Playground. She left the band when the band was featured to I.T.V.s talent contest New Faces. Between 1977 and the year 1980, she was the singer in The Tourists. A British pop band from the UK. The band was where she first came across Dave Stewart with whom she joined The pop duo Eurythmics. Lennox began working on her debut solo album Diva in the year 1992. Both commercially as well as critically it was a huge hit. Nostalgia Lennoxs single album of six that was released in October 2014 it was Nostalgia Lennox. The C.D. comprises a selection Lennoxs most loved blues and soul jazz tunes that she grew up with. Lepidoptera is a collection of four improvisations for piano, was released by Lennox in May of 2019. The E.P. is the companion album to her art installation in The Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art entitled"Now I'm Giving You Go... This is her first album which was independently released. Annie Lennox was born in 1954 on December 25. She is a political activist who is a singer and philanthropist native to Scotland. In the latter half of the 1970s, Lennox gained some not-so-great acclaim as the lead singer of The Tourists. She and Dave Stewart then gained international notoriety as Eurythmics. Lennox began her solo career in 1992 when she released of her first album Diva featuring many hit songs, including the hit songs Why and Walking in Broken Glass. Medusa is her studio album from 1995. It features cover versions of songs like No MoreI am in love with Yous and A Whiter Shade of Pale. She's got six studio albums and one compilation album. |
